NoDa (The Arts District)
NoDa, aka North Davidson, aka The Arts District, is known for its eclectic charm. A neighborhood with several names, NoDa is full of art galleries, street vendors, and quaint restaurants and coffee shops all locally owned. Cabo Fish Taco, Boudreaux Bayou Cuisine and Smelly Cat Coffee House are landmarks in the area. The Neighborhood Theater, a venue for local and national entertainers, is a hot spot. North Davidson and 36th Street is where all the action is. This neighborhood was built by mill workers in the 1900s. The homes are bungalow style and many have been renovated. Condos start at about $100,000 – $250,000. An updated single family home ranges from $300,000 – $400,000. This neighborhood is also very close to Uptown Charlotte.
